Worked for William Hill in Las Vegas for several years.
The fish rots from the head here and this place was truly a disaster. I did not fully realize how poorly the place was run until I went to work in another sportsbook where I am now making a lot more money with a lot less stress. Most of the managers I worked with had criminal records and the whole work environment was a good old boys club where certain people could do whatever they wanted without consequence. People with options are not working here. Most never should have been promoted to begin with. Therefore, all of their assistant managers are first time managers with no experience prior to getting promoted. Just about anyone can get promoted here because after all, no person with a key license/ experience is going to agree to be an Assistant Manager or Manager for the low salary they were offering here (when everywhere else is paying way more). As a result, you have terrible incompetent management as well as ticket writers. Everyone is underpaid therefore you get what you pay for.
Horrible unprofessional and toxic environment.
